Valverda wins Fitness Center Grant!
Gov. John Bel Edwards and Jake Steinfeld, Chairman of the National Foundation for Governors' Fitness Councils, announced that three of Louisiana’s elementary schools have been selected to each receive a Don’t Quit! Fitness Center. The multi-million dollar physical fitness campaign has named Park Elementary School in Baton Rouge, Luling Elementary School in Luling and Valverda Elementary School in Maringouin the state’s most outstanding schools for demonstrating leadership in getting and keeping their students fit.
